Timing of glaciation events

Another key focus of our research is on determining the timing of past glacier variations in the Alps. In one of such projects, we compare the timing and extent of two of the most important foreland-reaching glacier systems of the Last Glacial Maximum. The systems of interest are the Ticino-Toce system in the south and the Rhine glacier system in the north. This project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
