Subglacial erosion rates
We use cosmogenic nuclides to quantify subglacial erosion rates in recently ice-free glacier forefields in the Alps. For these determinations, 10Be, in situ 14C and 36Cl are used (see recent publications, Steinemann et al. 2020). This project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Sampling for erosion rate determinations with 10Be and in situ 14C at the Trift glacier (BE) riegel (PhD project of Olivia Steinemann, Steinemann et al. Geomorphology, in revision).
