Ion source developments

Within our engagement in the Horizon 2020 Trans-National Access Project: Radiate we are leading the work package: High Brightness Ion sources. The phase space of secondary ion beam is crucial parameter for the ion transport through the accelerator instrumentation used for AMS and ion beam base material sciences. Primary goal of our investigations are increased ion beam intensities and stability of phase space during sputtering process which can last on a single target for more than one hour.
